We have confessed not spending enough time with Olive this summer. Today, the expression "once in a blue moon" really applies. Allow me to share some modern folklore with you.

A "blue moon" is the second full moon in a calendar month, it occurs every two to three years. August 2012 is one of those special months. The first full moon was on August 1st and the second one on August 31rst, hence tonight is a blue moon. As much folklore as this may be, the moon, blue only by name, was certainly beautiful!
