April 21 to 23. We loved Hope Town, but it would be difficult to pretend that we equally appreciated the rest of the southern Abacos Cays. Marsh Harbour is a very convenient stop, but that’s where it stops. It is of course easy to appreciate the free dinghy dock, the excellent holding in the anchorage, the large American-type supermarket, the coin Laundromat, the numerous hardware stores and about every other commodity a cruiser having spent most of his winter in the southern Bahamas may dream of. Marsh Harbour is not the prettiest place around, but at least we can say that people actually live and work here which is not the case everywhere we’ve been.
